Three male suspects from Moratuwa with two shotguns have been arrested in the Ankumbura area in Kandy Saturday night after they had allegedly gone hunting in a nearby reserve, a senior police officer in the Kandy Division said..
They were arrested with two 12 bore guns and ten SG cartridges around 9.30pm by a team from the Ankumbura police. A three-wheeler used by the suspects was also taken into police custody.
At least one of the suspects is said to be a government employee.
