Over 30,000 tiles provided

To mark the Deyata Kirula National Programme the Deyata Kirula committee has taken steps to provide tiles for 30,000 houses which only have makeshift roofs, in the Anuradhapura district, a Deyata Kirula National Programme Steering Committee spokesman said.

The ministry has targeted to complete this necessity by February 4 this year, he said.

As of now the Deyata Kirula National Programme Steering Committee has provided more than 10,000 householders with temporary roofs in the Anuradhapura district. To mark the Deyata Kirula National Programme and the Deyata Kirula Exhibition many construction projects are being completed, he said.
