Water crisis hits Pothuvil village

Gayan Chintaka – Lahugala Corr.

Over 82 families living in the Sengamuwa Issadeen Puram village are facing a shortage of water.

Fareeda Beebee (45) living in the village states that they have to walk miles to fetch water.

Sithy Akila another resident states there are several poultry farms in the village and they stink. The only well in the village is overgrown with wild plants.
