CMC offers training to Kottu makers

The Public Health Department (PHD) of the Colombo Municipal Council (PD-CMC) will conduct a training programme for ‘kottu roti’ makers in the city today (08). Chief of the Public Health Department, Dr. Pradeep Kariyawasam said yesterday that there were three hundreds ‘kottu’ makers and they would be trained an issued with certificates.

Dr. Kariyawasm said that the focus of the training programme would be on maintaining hygienic standards in preparing food for commercial purposes. He said the services of expert chefs would be obtained for the programme.


The PHD carried out a training programme for food vendors at the Galle Face Green last year.
