ප්රභූවරුන් ගුවන් හමුදා හෙළිකොප්ටර් යානාවලින් ගමන් කිරීම වෙනුවෙන් රජය වසරකට රුපියල් කෝටි විස්සක මුදලක් වැය කරන බව ආණ්ඩු පක්ෂයේ ප්රධාන සංවිධායක දිනේෂ් ගුණවර්ධන මහතා ඊයේ (18 දා) පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේදී කීවේය.
ගුවන් හමුදාව ස්ථාපිත කළ කාලයේ පටන් රාජ්ය නායකයින් සහ අනෙකුත් ප්රභූවරුන් වෙත ගමන් කිරීමට හෙළිකොප්ටර් යානා පහසුකම් ලබා දී තිබූ බවද දිනේෂ් ගුණවර්ධන මහතා කීවේය.
ජනාධිපති, අගමැති, විපක්ෂනායක, කථානායක, කැබිනට් ඇමැතිවරු සහ පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්රීවරුන්, ආරක්ෂක ලේකම්, ආරක්ෂක මාණ්ඩලික ප්රධානී සහ ත්රිවිධ හමුදාපතිවරුන්, අමාත්යාංශ ලේකම්වරුන්, මහානායක හිමිවරුන්, ආගමික නායකයින් සහ රාජ්ය ආරක්ෂක අමාත්යාංශයේ අනුමැතිය ලද පුද්ගලයන්ට මෙම පහසුකම් ලබාදෙන බවද ගුණවර්ධන මහතා කීවේය.
පසුගිය වසර තුන තුළදී ගුවන් ගමන් වාර 797 ක්, 508 ක් සහ 491 ක් සිදුකර ඇතැයිද දිනේෂ් ගුණවර්ධන මහතා ප්රකාශ කළේ කුරුණෑගල දිස්ත්රික් (එජාප) මන්ත්රී අකිල විරාඡ් කාරියවසම් මහතා ඇසූ පැනයකට පිළිතුරු දෙමිනි.

PM says he used helicopters not for personal tours
Prime Minister and Buddha Sasana and Religious Affairs Minister D M Jayaratne, yesterday stated that he used the helicopters only to participate at various religious activities in various parts of the country, but not for his personal tours.
He made this observation yesterday, in response to a question raised by UNP MP Akila Viraj Kariyawasam. The Prime Minister further stated that he was invited to a number of religious ceremonies throughout the country on a single day on some occasions and on such occasions, he used an Air Force helicopter. He also stated that he had been advised by his physician not to travel by air, but he had to use the services of helicopters to participate at those ceremonies held at State level. He further stated that he would have to use the helicopters in 2012 as well, to participate in those religious ceremonies.
