කළුබෝවිල ශික්ෂණ රෝහලේ ශල්ය වාට්ටුවක රෝගියකුට ලබාදීමට නියමිතව තිබූ ''ක්ලොක්සසිලින්' ප්රතිජීවක එන්නත් දියර කුප්පියක් තුළ සිටි මැස්සකු ඊයේ (11 දා) සොයා ගැනුණු බව එම රෝහල් ආරංචි මාර්ග පැවැසීය.
ආසාධනයන් සඳහා ලබා දෙන මෙම එන්නත් දියර කුප්පිය එහි සිටි මැස්සාද සමග පරීක්ෂාව සඳහා ජාතික ඖෂධ තත්ත්ව පාලන රසායනාගාරය වෙත යෑවූ බවද පැවැසේ. මෙම එන්නත් දියර කුප්පිය සම්බන්ධව වෛද්ය සැපයුම් අංශය දැනුවත් කිරීමට රෝහල් අංශ ඊයේ (11 දා) දහවල් පියවර ගෙන තිබූ අතර එන්නත් දියර කුප්පිය අයත් කාණ්ඩයට අයත් දියර කුප්පි තාවකාලිකව හෝ භාවිත කිරීම නතර කිරීමට මෙතෙක් පියවර ගෙන නොමැත.

Fly in antibiotic phial at Kalubowila hospital

A fly was discovered yesterday in a phial of Cloxacillin in the Surgical Unit of the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital. The manufacturer’s name was not recognisable either. The Cloxacillin used by the Health Ministry was produced in India. The phial was sent to the National Drug Regulatory Authority.
Health Ministry sources said a high level probe would be conducted and appropriate action taken against the supplier concerned.
