The Zoological Gardens in Dehiwela will not be shifted to Pinnawela, Chief Government Whip Minister Dinesh Gunawardena told Parliament yesterday.
He said that while work is in progress in Pinnawela for another zoological garden, the Dehiwela Zoo will remain at the present location.
The Minister said in response to a question raise by UNP Kurunegala district MP Dayasiri Jayasekera who queried if there was a move to shift the Dehiwela Zoo to Pinnawela. (SI)
