අනාරක්ෂිත දුම්රිය හරස් මාර්ග 200 කට ගේට්ටු සවිකිරීමට පියවර

අනාරක්ෂිත දුම්රිය හරස් මාර්ග අතරින් වැඩිම අවදානමක් පවතින දුම්රිය හරස් මාර්ග 200 ක ගේට්ටු ඉදිකිරීම සඳහා රජය රුපියල් මිලියන 1000 ක් වෙන්කර ඇත. මේ සඳහා මේ වන විට ටෙන්ඩර්පත් කැඳවා ඇතැයිද මුහුදුබඩ දුම්රිය මාර්ගයේ අනාරක්ෂිත හරස් මාර්ග සඳහා යෙදවීමට වැඩි වශයෙන් ප්රමුඛතාව ලබාදෙන බවද දුම්රිය දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව පවසයි.
මීට අමතරව තවත් දුම්රිය හරස් මාර්ග ගේට්ටු 250 ක් පමණ ඉදිකිරීමට දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව සැලසුම් කර ඇතැයිද ඉදිරියේදී අලුතින් දුම්රිය මාර්ග ඉදිකිරීමේදී හරස් මාර්ග ගේට්ටු ඉදිකිරීම් සීමා කිරීමටද කටයුතු කරන බව දුම්රිය අධ්යක්ෂ විජය සමරසිංහ මහතා පැවසීය.

Rs 1,000 m for rail gates
The Sri Lanka Railways has called tenders for the construction of protective rail gates at unprotected rail crossings along the coastal rail road and several other rail crossings selected on a priority basis.
A press release by the Railways Department said the government allocated Rs 1,000 million last year for the construction of 200 rail gates at selected high risk rail crossings.
The release said after constructing the new rail gates a programme will be implemented to provide security to the gates in association with the local councils who will be called upon to bear the expenditure involved.
Apart from this the Department will take steps to construct another 250 new rail gates.
