Milco (Pvt) Limited will launch its latest product – liquid milk in handy packages - on December 15 with President Mahinda Rajapaksa participating.
MIlco Chairman Sunil Wickremasinghe told ‘The Island’ that the liquid milk (plain) will be available in packets of 900 ml. and 450 ml. at Rs. 100 and Rs. 55 respectively, while the chocolate and vanilla flavoured milk will be available in 180 ml packets at Rs. 25.
He said that Milco’s aim was to end milk powder imports and popularize high protein liquid milk containing less fat.
Wickremasinghe said that this high protein liquid milk is manufactured in Milco plants in Polonnaruwa and Digana.
