After a successful tour of the Jaffna district Indigenous Medicine Minister Salinda Dissanayaka and Deputy Minister Pandu Badaranayaka, have decided to formulate a plan to popularise indigenous medicine in the area, the Indigenous medicine Ministry said.
Minister Dissanayaka told ‘The Island’ that the Ministry would first construct a nutrition centre and an Ayuradic medicine centre in Nagadeepa. Two foundation stones were laid to construct them on October 15. The projects would cost Rs.2.5 million. In addition a well-equipped ayurvedic hospital would also be constructed in Delft islands.
