Naval personnel attached to SLNS Vijaya in the North-western Naval Area arrested seven persons engaged in illegal fishing in the Wannimundal Area on October 27. They were handed over to the Assistant Fisheries Detector (Puttlam) along with 177 conch shells, ten sea cucumbers, 22 Oxygen Cylinders, five regulators, five face masks, five back packs, five pairs of diving fins, and two FGDs with 25 HP OBMs for further action.
