KANDY – Kandy Chief Magistrate S. U. B. Karalliyadde enlarged a manager of an eating house at Peradeniya Road, Kandy on Rs. 25,000 cash bail on being produced by Kandy Police following a complaint by a woman that her throat sustained on injury by a piece of glass found in an ‘egg-rotty’ she purchased and ate from the eating house.
The complainant was a resident of Wewala near Muruthalawa.
The magistrate ordered that the cash bail he supported by two sureties worth Rs. 200,000 each.
The case was fixed for inquiry on October 03.
The Minor Complaints Branch OIC. IP Uwindasiri with PS Jayasekara conducted investigations.
