On information received, Naval troops attached to SLNs Vijayaba of the Eastern Naval Command have arrested eight illicit timber cutters along with a large stock f timber and chain saws on 07th October 2011 at Kumburupiddi area in Trincomalee.
Naval troops have arre3sted three (03) tractor loads of timber and four (04) chain saws used for the racket. The Navy is always on the lookout for any illegal activities and takes prompt action to prevent them in the areas of its control in order to maintain law and order of the country.
