විදුලිබල මණ්‌ඩල වැටලීම්වලින් ගිය මාසයේ ලක්‍ෂ 215 ක්‌ උපයයි

ලංකා විදුලිබල මණ්‌ඩලයේ හදිසි වැටලීම් අංශය දිවයින පුරා සිදු කළ වැටලීම්වලින් මේ වසරේ (2012) ජනවාරි මස පමණක්‌ රුපියල් ලක්‍ෂ 215 ක මුදලක්‌ රජයට අයකර දී තිබේ.
එම මුදල්වලින් රුපියල් ලක්‍ෂ 36 ක්‌ උසාවි දඩ වශයෙන්ද, සහ රුපියල් ලක්‍ෂ 179 ක්‌ මණ්‌ඩලයේ අලාභය වශයෙන්ද විවිධ පුද්ගලයන්ගෙන් අයකරගෙන ඇත.
මීටර් වෙනස්‌ කිරීම්, කොකු භාවිත කොට විදුලිය ලබා ගැනීම් වැනි සිද්ධීන් 331 ක්‌ වාර්තා වී ඇති අතර එම සිද්ධීන්වලින් 193 වංචා සහගත ලෙස මීටර් සකස්‌ කොට විදුලිය ලබා ගත් ඒවා බවද, ඉන් සිද්ධීන් 133 ක්‌ කොකු භාවිතා කොට විදුලිය ලබා ගැනීම් බවද විදුලිබල හා බලශක්‌ති අමාත්‍යංශය සඳහන් කරයි.
අයථා ලෙස විදුලිය ලබා ගැනීම් නිසා විශාල මුදලක්‌ විදුලිබල මණ්‌ඩලයට අහිමි වන බව පෙන්වා දෙන අමාත්‍යංශය වංචාකාරී අය පිළිබඳ තොරතුරු 0112422259 යන දුරකථන අංකයට දැනුම් දෙන ලෙස වැඩිදුරටත් පවසයි.

Raids on power pirates help rake in Rs. 21.5 million to CEB in January

The Power and Energy Ministry has raked in Rs. 21.5 million through the Ceylon Electricity Board’s Special Unit after raids on power pirates in January this year.
Of the Rs. 21.5 million raked in, Rs. 3.6 million came by way of court fines. The latest raid was carried out during the last week of January.
According to Power and Energy Ministry, in January alone, 331 persons had been nabbed obtaining electricity illegally.
Ministry sources said that due to power piracy, the CEB incurred heavy financial losses.
The Ministry has called on the public to report fraudulent activities – meter tampering and illegal tapping of electricity – to the Special Investigations Unit on telephone No. 2422259.
