A haptitis B threat has been found in the Kegalle MOH area from Ganthuna, Alapalawala and Wathura.
About 34 patients have been identified and they are being treated at Kegalle, Karawanella and Kabagamuwa hospitals.
Kegalle MOH Dr Pradeep Nanayakkara said the disease has been found in the water sources around Dothal Oya area.
Action has been taken to prevent the spread of the disease under the supervision of Kegalle DHS Dr Gamini Seneviratne.
