Dengue: 27 deaths in January

Twenty seven deaths have been recorded due to dengue fever in January this year,Health Ministry sources said. They said nearly 7000 persons have contracted the deadly fever last month, according to countrywide statistics. The Western Province has been badly hit by the dengue epidemic, the ministry noted.. The ministry warned the households to keep the gardens clean to prevent mosquito breeding grounds.
