බේකරි ආශ්රිත සියලුම නිෂ්පාදනවල මිල ඉහළ දැමීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් සමස්ත ලංකා බේකරි හිමියන්ගේ සංගමය අවධානය යොමුකර තිබේ. අදාළ නිෂ්පාදනවල මිල වැඩිකිරීමේ ප්රමාණය සම්බන්ධයෙන් ලබන සතිය මැදදී අවසන් නිගමනයකට එළැඹෙන බව එම සංගමයේ සභාපති එන්.කේ. ජයවර්ධන මහතා “ලක්බිමට” ප්රකාශ කළේය.
මේ පිළිබඳ සාකච්ඡා කිරීම සඳහා සංගමයේ නිලධාරීන් අතර, සාකච්ඡාවක් ලබන සතියේ කැඳවා ඇති බවත්, කුමන ප්රමාණයකින් මිල ඉහළ දමන්නේද යන්න පිළිබඳ එහිදී තීරණය කරන බවත් හෙතෙම කීය.
ඩීසල් මිල ඉහළ යාමත් සමග මෙලෙස බේකරි ආශ්රිත නිෂ්පාදනවලද මිල ඉහළ දැමීමට අනිවාර්යයෙන්ම සිදුවන බවත් ජයවර්ධන මහතා පැවැසීය.

Bakery products to go up
The Lanka Bakery Owners Association (LBOA) are now threatening to increase all bakery products by next week due to the fuel price hike.
A spokesman for the LBOA told The Island that they had not yet decided in the quantum of increase for their products, including bread.
A ministry spokesman said that it was unreasonable for bakery owners to jack up their prices as the majority of them utilize firewood ovens to bake.
